Selected scripts will receive a public reading during the month of October, 2015. Playwrights are encouraged to attend their reading and will have the option to have a mediated post-reading discussion with the actors and audience.
We welcome submissions from emerging and established playwrights of scripts at all levels of development. Burning ideas that are just begging to get to the page also welcomed.
Submissions will be read and selections made by a curatorial team of DaPoPo’s core artists.
We are particularly interested in scripts related to this year’s festival theme “FURTHER TO THE LEFT.” We’re also interested in diversity in voice, genre and approach to storytelling.
Deadline to submit: July 31, 2015.
Digital submissions in .pdf format are preferred. Please include title, playwright name and script version in a footer on each page as well as page numbers. A character breakdown in the preface is also appreciated.
